The Chicago Dispatcher provides a service for passengers who have lost articles in taxicabs.
For $19.99 we:
- Fax your lost item description to taxicab affiliations and garages throughout the city. Your listing will be included in our daily "Lost & Found Report" and faxed to more than 30 cab affiliations and garages!
- Include your listing in our weekly newspaper, which is distributed to more than 100 locations including cab companies, affiliations, cabstands and cabbie hangouts.
To utilize this service, simply post a thirty day classified ad to "lost in a taxicab." Register to post your missing item for our Lost and Found report.
Be sure to include the following:
- Description of what was lost;
- Approximate date and time of your cab ride;
- The origin and destination of your trip;
- Anything you remember about the cab or the driver;
- How you’d like to be contacted: Note: We recommend including a phone number. Many drivers do not use email regularly;
- Reward, if any.
